Worship

Worship at St John’s

Worship is the heart of our life together at St John’s.
Here we meet Christ in Word and Sacrament, offer our prayers for the world, and draw strength for our daily lives.

Our worship is shaped by the Anglo-Catholic tradition: reverent, sacramental, beautiful, and accessible.
Whether you are deeply familiar with Anglican liturgy or completely new to church, you are welcome at our services.

The Eucharist at the Centre

Each Sunday — and throughout the week — we gather for the Holy Eucharist, the central act of Christian worship.
In the breaking of the bread and the sharing of the cup, Christ is present with us: strengthening, forgiving, renewing.

At St John’s, the Eucharist is offered with:

  • dignity and beauty
  • Scripture proclaimed
  • prayers for our community and the world
  • music that lifts the heart
  • space for silence and reflection

A Place for Stillness and Prayer

Our church is a sanctuary — a place of quiet in the midst of life’s busyness.
The flicker of candles, the simplicity of the timber interior, and the steady rhythm of Anglican prayer invite rest for the soul.

You are always welcome to sit, pray, reflect, or simply be still.
